Funeral services for Evelyn Goins were Monday, February 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Hixson's Funeral Home, Leesville. Interment followed at Marlow Baptist Church, Pitkin. Evelyn Goins, 94, passed from this life on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Byrd Hospital in Leesville. She was born February 19, 1916. She was a member of Marlow Baptist Church, Pitkin. She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 74 years, Oliver Goins, daughters; Barbara Atteberry and husband, Bobby Atteberry of New Caney, Texas, Nelwyn McNamara and husband Mike McNamara of Albion, Indiana, Sybil Johnson of Pitkin, Genevee James of Pitkin and Jennell Johnson of Leesville; sixteen grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren; one sister, Ovel Mckee of Pitkin. Evelyn is preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Johnson, two sons-in-law, two grandsons and one great grandson.
