Graveside services for JAMES WALTER FERGUSON, 90, of Sherman who died Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at Post Oak Health and Rehabilitation Center will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Veterans Section of the West Hill Cemetery. He was born April 21, 1908 in Alice, Oklahoma, the son of Henry Ferguson & Martha Stice Ferguson. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps in a Dallas camp during the 1930s, served in the United States Army during WW II and was a blacksmith and a farmer & a Baptist. Surviving are three sisters ; Bell Simmons of Vinita, Oklahoma, Jimmie Brown of Bear Valley, California and Frances Epperson of Bluejacket, Oklahoma ; niece, Mary Johnson of Sherman.
