From the Celina Record, 11 February 1954: Funeral services for Mrs. Jewel Velma Buchanan, 5, of Route 1, Ann, Texas were held Sunday afternoon at Cottage Hill Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Johnny Rakestraw of Pilot Point, Texas. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Buchanan died at her home between Blue Ridge, Texas and Westminster, Texas Friday morning.
