Bio

B.F. Moon was a Baptist preacher. His first wife was named Charlotte Williams. from this union was born Estella Moon. After Charlotte passed away, B.F. married again. His second wife was named Minnie also known to all as Big Mama. B.F. died in a Dallas Hospital where he was being treated for Gall Stones, but he caught Pneumonia and died. Becks Chaple Cemetery is located 7 miles outside Athens, Texas on Highway 59. Turn left on Beck's Chaple Road and go three miles. Also buried by B.F. is a son Gordon who was three years old when he died. He was born in 1909 and died in 1912. B.F. Moon's second wife is also buried next to him. He was 62 when he passed away. On his grave stone is inscribed "A sinner saved by grace".
