Services for Fred L. Collins will be in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Collins, 78, of Pineville, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center. He was a retired farm equipment salesman, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Unitarian Fellowship. Survivors are his wife, Jeanie Collins of Pineville; daughters, Sherry Collins Rusk and Lisa Collins Phillpott, both of Pineville; son, Fred Lewis Collins of Pineville; brother, Charles M.
