Ennis, Texas - Foster Herbert Evarts, 82, resident of Ellis County for 80 years, died Friday after a long illness. He had been in the home of a niece, Mrs. Burton Reasonover of Ferris, for six weeks. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He came to Palmer with his parents in 1877. In 1879 the family moved to Ennis. He had made his home here since that time. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include four sons, Henry Evarts of Dallas, and Johnny Evarts, Emmett Evarts, and Grady Evarts, all of Ennis; one daughter, Mrs. N. O. Hickson of Dallas; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday in Keever Chapel in Ennis. Burial was in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis. Dallas News 06-18-1957 D. cert: parents: Zimri John Evarts, Abbie Louise Bennett.
