Oxford Eagle, Thursday 19 Aug 1897, Page 3, Column 2: "It is with regret we announce the death of Mrs. W. J. White which occurred on Thursday of last week after a protracted illness. Mrs. White was a devoted Christian and beloved by all who knew her. She leaves a husband, sons and daughters to mourn her death. We extend sympathy to the afflicted family."
