Obit in Lake Charles American Press 2-5-2011. Chaddick Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Brenda Gay Overman, 63, of Navasota, Texas, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011, at her home. Visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 2011, from 3 - 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 6, 2011, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Chaddick Funeral home, then from 1 p.m. until service time at Hopewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be February 6, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. George Gau officiating. Mrs. Overman was preceded in death by her grandparents, Riley and Inez Cooley and Lloyd and Nissa McCollough,her father, James LeRay Honea and her grandson, Cody James Cooper. Mrs. Overman is survived by her husband, Van Overman of Navasoa, Texas; One daughter, Wendy Cooly and husband Jason of Vidor, Texas; Three sons, Mitch Jones and wife Sue of Beaumont, Texas, Terry Jones of Houston, Texas, and Greg Overman and wife Kristen of Nashville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Cory, Shaunda, Brittany, Mia, Grace and Chloe; One great-granson Draiden; One sister, Janice LeBlanc and husband Donnie of St. Augustine, Texas; One brother, Larry McCollough and wife Evelyn of Segno, Texas; One sister-in-law Carol Hudman and husband Carl of Lumberton, Texas; her parents Sylvia and Buck Zerangue of St. Augustine, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be under the direction of Chaddick Funeral Home in DeRidder, La.
