SGT US ARMY WORLD WAR II Sgt. Clemens G. Snider, Rt. 2, West, son of Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Snider, entered the Army Air Corp in 1942, and trained in New Mexico. He served in England and was awarded GCM, ETO Ribbon with 6 Battle Stars and Citation Ribbon with 1 Cluster. He was discharged in 1945. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WEST – Clements George Snider, 93, of West passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2002, in West. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with the Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Military graveside rites will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery, conducted by V.F.W. Post 4819. Mr. Snider was born Jan. 23, 1909, in Tours, to Louis and Rosie Snider. He attended schools in Gerald. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a farmer and rancher for most of his life and enjoyed raising cattle. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis Snider, Jr. in 1975; and sister, Annie Snider Kreder in 1984. He is survived by a brother, Edward Snider Sr., and wife Eleanora; nephews, Edward Snider Jr. and wife Helen of West, and Robert Kreder and wife Rose of Elm Mott; nieces, Rose Ann Chudej and Sonya Adamson and husband Miles "Pee Wee," all of West, and Donna Emmert and husband Ed of Ennis; and several great-nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. Martin's Catholic Church of Tours or West Rest Haven Memorial Fund. Aderhold Funeral Home, Inc.
