Georgette Neckar Pavlik died on August 1, 1997 in Westchester, Illinois from complications of lupus. Georgette was born in Wharton, Texas on February 9, 1941, the daughter of Mary Hlavenka and Andrew Neckar. She attended St. Martin's School in Tours and West High School. She moved to Cicero, Illinois in 1956 and graduated from Morton East High School. She married Joe Pavlik in Cicero. They were married for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronald Neckar; and her grandparents, Mary and Anton Hlavenka and Joe and Mary Neckar. Survivors are her husband, Joe of Westchester, Illinois; a son, Joe Pavlik, Jr. and his spouse Linda of Arlington; two daughters and their spouses, Kathy and Como Negrete and Karen and Jim Burian, all of Lockport, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Jimmy and Jamie Burian and Tabitha and Como, Jr. Negrete; her aunt and surrogate mother, Evelyn Hlavenka Barath of Irving; one sister, Dolores Miller of Dallas; one brother, Andrew Neckar of Hico; seven nieces, four nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, her uncles and aunts, cousins and a host of friends. Wake service was at Moravacek Funeral Home in Cicero, Illinois on August 4. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Summit, Illinois on August 5 at 10 a.m. Interment was private. "Farewell sweet 'Gee' - you will always be remembered and loved."
