Spouse link provided by angelina genzer kretzschmar . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JOHN AND SANDRA ("SANDY") HALEY, beloved parents, daughter, sister, son and brother passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 8, 2004, from an automobile accident in Bastrop, Texas. John was 59 and Sandy was 57. Sandra Lee Tramuto Haley was born in Galveston, Texas on November 17, 1947. She was raised in Dickinson, Texas and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1965. She then attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh before returning to Houston where she has lived and worked for the past 37 years. While in Houston, she served in numerous administrative capacities throughout her career starting in the energy business with Exxon and Amoco, and ended with the job that fulfilled her love for travel at ExpressJet. Her absolute favorite place to visit was San Francisco. She loved public speaking and was a member and past-president of Toastmasters International. She donated her time and talents to Cy-Fair Hospital doing volunteer work and was a member and strong advocate for The Living Bank. Being a strong Christian, she was a member of Houston Northwest Baptist Church where she attended numerous bible study classes. Her real passion was her two children, Melanie and Brian. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to all that knew her and will be truly missed. Sandy is survived by her parents Angelo J. and Arline Tramuto of Dickinson; her two children Melanie Jernigan of Cypress and Brian Jernigan and his wife Yoanna and her grandson Christopher of Cypress; her twin brothers James and Robert Tramuto of Houston; and sister Nancy Cearley of Dickinson. John Haley was born in Houston, Texas on November 17, 1944. He was raised in Houston and graduated from Allen Military Academy in 1965. He attended Texas A&M University and gained a technical degree. He was an avid collector of unique items. He spent many weekends at the family ranch restoring it for their use. He was a loving father who found humor in many things and will be remembered for his laughter and the joy he shared with so many. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Jack and Ann Haley; two sons John and partner Darin Maxwell, and James and wife Betty; his brother Mike Haley; as well as numerous grandsons, nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a memorial service with the family on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 7 o'clock in the evening at Houston Northwest Baptist Church, 19911 State Highway 249, Houston, Texas 77070. The family will receive friends following the service in the church atrium. Sandy and John had requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Living Bank (800-528-2971) or The American Diabetes Association (800-342-2383).
