Obituary: Thomas L. Anderson, aged 80 years, 3 months and 5 days, passed away at his home, 1212 North Church St., McKinney, at 7:45pm Sunday following an illness of about three months. Born June 11, 1865 in DeKalb County, Tennessee, Thomas Lafayette Anderson was the son of J.M. and Elizabeth Anderson. He was married to Miss Elinoy Gracy, Jan. 5, 1890. To this union were born seven children as follows: R. J. Anderson, W.S. Anderson, of McKinney; Mrs. C. B. Neal and Mrs. H.M. Haggard, of McKinney, and Hugh Anderson, who has recently been discharged from the Army Air Corps, and now at home in McKinney. One daughter, Myrtle, passed away at the age of five years. Other survivors include one brother, Amon L. Anderson of McKinney, and one sister, Mrs. Jimmie Parker, of Sparta, Tenn. Fifteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The deceased and family moved to Texas in the early part of his life and had lived in Chambersville community where he engaged in farming until bad health caused him to retire and he moved to McKinney where he had since resided on N. Church St. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Methodist Church and the Woodmen of the World.
