Obituaries From The Dallas Morning News November 2009 Melvin Monroe Langston of Cedar Hill passed away Nov. 22, 2009. He was born Dec. 23, 1919 in Fort Sill, OK to Marshall and Jessie (Talbert) Langston. A proud Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Langston retired from East Texas Motor Freight. He was honored this year, recognizing his 47 years of service as a deacon in the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lena Grogan Langston; daughter, Judy Winckler and husband, Haddon; son, Wayne Langston and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Denise Chepey and husband, Steve, Dean Winckler and wife, Molley, Shannon Miller and husband, Robert, Shelley Pinkerton and husband, Wes; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Lindy, Abby, Kelsea, Kaeli, Nicholas and Jordan; 1 great-great grandson, Wyatt; 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral Service is 10 AM, Tuesday Nov. 24, 2009 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Jaynes Funeral Chapel, 811 So. Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville, Texas.
