Vera Nielsen CALDWELL — Services for Vera Nielsen, 76, of 2320 Ellis St., Caldwell, who died Tuesday in a Pocatello nursing home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, Caldwell, by Bishop James C. Blacker, Caldwell Fourth Ward, LDS Church, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. She was born June 6, 1904, in Paradise, Utah, where she was reared and educated. She also lived in Inkom and moved to Caldwell, where she trained at Caldwell Memorial Hospital and became a licensed practical nurse. She worked as a nurse for 17 years. She married Carl D. Nielsen on Dec. 19, 1923, in Logan. He died on June 21, 1974. She was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include three sons, Carl D. Jr. of Idaho Falls, LeRoy of Caldwell, and Neil of Richland, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Betty) Cerva of Pocatello; two sisters, Elva Nielsen of Salt Lake City and Evelyn Tholmon of Rupert; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
