Single. Farmer. Suicide; gun shot wound. *************************** ~~~ Brother of Velasco Resident Is Victim Of Shotgun Blast Robert Francis McKissick, 74-year-old brother of A. B. McKissick of Velasco, was found shot to death with a 12-guage shotgun on the front porch of his home in the Ashby community west of Bay City Monday, according to a press dispatch bearing a Bay City date-line. In addiction to the brother living in Velasco, he was also survived by another, brother, T. M. McKissick of Alvin, and a sister, Mrs. Sam Yeamans of West Columbia. There are also five other brothers residing in other parts of the state. According to the dispatch, Justice of the Peace W. P. Cox said death was due to two blasts in the left side. A retired rice grower, Mr. McKissick was found by a relative about 8:30 a. m. Monday. The coroner’s verdict is being withheld pending further investigation.
