OIL CITY, LA - Services for Noah A. Blizzard, 91, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2003 at United Pentecostal Church, Oil City, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Finical, pastor of United Pentecostal Church, assisted by Rev. D. L. Lewis. Burial will be in Good Exchange Cemetery, McLeod, Visitation will be held Thursday, March 27, 2003, 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at McGuire Funeral Home, Viv-ian, LA. Mr. Blizzard died unexpectedly Monday, March 24, 2003 at Vivian Health Care. He was born September 27, 1911 in Cass County, TX and had resided in Oil City, LA for 67 years. Mr. Blizzard was a retired self-employed oil producer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry R. and Emma Camilla Blizzard; brothers, Rev. Velton R. Bliz-zard, James P. Blizzard; sister, Infant Sybil Blizzard; son-in-law, Rev. Kenneth Wendell; and his wife, Gladys Pauline Hayes, who he married on February 20, 1932 Survivors include three children, Bobbye Jean Wendell of Oil City, LA, Billie Mae Ridge and husband, John A. Ridge of Oil City, LA and Noah Alan Blizzard of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Mark Wayne Wendell of Vivian, LA, Angela Elaine Wendell Harris and husband, Jim of Shreve-port, LA, Mary Jean Wendell Creel and husband, Jim of Casper, WY, Kenneth Chester (Chet) Wendell and wife, Cathy of Palestine, TX, John Arthur Ridge, Jr. and wife, Gloria of Aus-tin, TX, Rev. George Michael Ridge and wife, Deborah of Arcadia, LA, James Alan Ridge and wife, Linda of Wautauga, TX, Keith Alan Blizzard of Houston, TX and Andrew Kenneth Blizzard of Lake Charles, LA; twelve great-grandchildren, Tracey Elaine Hawkins Cook of Phoenix, AZ, Melissa Jean Creel Pritchard of Casper, WY, Teresa Michelle Creel Howard of Casper, WY, James Wright Creel, Il of Casper, WY, Meghan Elizabeth Creel of Casper, WY, Noah Alexander Creel of Casper, WY, Kenneth Chester Wendell, Ill of Palestine, TX, Jeannie Nicole Wendell Patterson of Palestine, TX, Chloe' Jean Wendell of Vivian, LA, George Michael Ridge, Jr., Leighann Ridge and Jonathan Ridge; three great-great grandchildren, Brittany Elaine Deba of Phoenix, AZ, Maxmillian Devin Cook of Phoenix, Seth Lee Patterson Palestine, TX and a great host of other relatives and friends.
