She was born on December 13, 1922 in Collin County to E. T. and Josey (Hinsley) Litchford. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Paulette Davidson and husband, Jimmie of Celina; grandchildren, LeAnn Hudec and Jimmie P. Davidson; great-granddaughter, Katie Davidson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bateman; parents, E. T and Josey Litchford; brothers, Buster Litchford, Charlie Litchford, Woodrow Litchford, Paul Litchford and R. D. Litchford. Visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 109 S. Oklahoma St., Celina, Texas, on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Celina on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Old Celina Cemetery.
