CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico October 30, 1989 REESE Service for Etta E. Reese, 75, 914 N. Mesa St., is pending at Denton Funeral Home. Mrs. Reese died at her home today. She will not lie in state until Tuesday evening. Mrs. Reese was born on June 13, 1914, in Duncan, Okla., where she grew up in the area and attended school. She married Jack E. Reese on May 15, 1937, in Lamesa, Texas. They lived in Morton and Ackerly, Texas, before moving to Carlsbad in 1942. She was a member of Fox and Lake Church of Christ, and had been a little league coach. Survivors include her husband, Jack E. Reese, Carlsbad; one son, Dwayne Reese, Anthony, N.M; three daughters, Wanda Lynn Johnson, Dripping Springs, Texas, Glenda Mae Wilferth, Cleburne, Texas, and Evelyn Ruth Reese, Carlsbad; one sister, Geneva McNew, Big Springs, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. REESE Service for Etta E. Reese, 75, 914 N. Mesa St., is to be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fox and Lake Church of Christ with Dan Wright, Southside Church of Christ, officiating. Burial is to be in Carlsbad Cemetery. She died at her home Oct. 30. Pallbearers are to be Paul E. Wilferth, Carrell Wilferth, Kirk Burrows and Ben Bond. She was born in Duncan, Okla., and attended schools there. She and Jack Reese were married on May 15, 1937, in Lamesa, Texas, and lived in Ackerly, Texas, before settling in Carlsbad in 1942. She was a homemaker and member of Fox and Lake Church of Christ. Denton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
