The Fairfield Recorder, Fairfield, Texas Friday, March 23, 1906 Page 4 Death of Sam Corley, Sr. Sam Corley, Sr., an old and highly respected citizen of this county, who has been making his home here until recently, died last Friday morning at the home of his son, Sam Corley, Jr., near Dew. Mr. Corley was injured by a fall on the ice here about two months ago, and his general bad health coupled with this, caused his death. We have no data to publish an extended notice of Mr. Corley, however, we will state that he was one of the old heroes who gave the best part of life in faithful service to the cause of his country, and always living a good life, his reward is great.
