Daughter of John Andrew Groome and Pearl Dunlap. Wife of Clarence A. Stanford Born in North Carolina and died of a coronary thrombosis in High Point NC Information and burial location per NC Death Certificate GREENSBORO--Mrs. Dorothy Groome Stanford, 58, of Rt. 7, Greensboro, died suddenly at her home yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. She was the mother of Mrs. James Harding of Burlington. A life-long resident of Guilford County, she was a member of Groometown Methodist Church. She was the wife of Clarence A. Stanford of the home. Survivors in addition to her husband and daughter include three other daughters, mother, sister and three brothers. Final rites will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Chapel. Burial wil1 be! in Guilford Memorial Park. The body will remain at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home. The family will be at the mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and they ask that instead of sending flowers, that friends to make contributions to be given the Groometown Methodist Church.
