Charnel Johnson (November 2, 1928 - December 17, 2007) Mr. Johnson, 79, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Monday, December 17, 2007 in Oakdale Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, William Charnel Johnson; his mother, Stella Perkins Johnson Ashworth; his sister, Hazel Johnson Odom; his brother-in-law, John Odom and one grandson, Earnest Gene Messer. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Edna M. Johnson of Oakdale; ten children, Ray Johnson and his wife, Janie of Pine Prairie, Sue Trout and her husband, Ronnie of Marksville, Wanda Ballard and her husband, Steve of Oakdale, Enita Frost and her husband, Lyle of Forest Hill, Wayne Johnson and his wife, Marlene of Seneca, South Carolina, Judy Heatherly and her companion, David Ware of Oakdale, Doug Johnson and his companion, April Laird of Oakdale; David Johnson and his wife, Barbara of Oakdale, Elizabeth Tolbert and her husband, Eric of Oakdale and Jimmy Johnson and his wife, Tonya of Baton Rouge; thirty-one grandchildren, Rhonda, Michell, Darren, Charles Ray, Jennifer, Dale, Chris , Rachel, Kayla, Melisa, Jessica, Summer, Charnel Wayne, Janice, Danny, Michael, Steven, Timmy, Dustin, Douglas, Erica, Stacey, Sam, Jennifer, David Ray, Paul, Mary, Maritta, David, Monica, Tommy and Jimmy and thirty-nine great grandchildren.
