Son of Max & Cheryl (Davis) Lowther. Married Apr. 26, 1969 to Peggy Cejka in Weston, NE. Remarried June 11, 1982 to Phyllis Clayton in Wahoo, NE. Father of Joel, Corina, Barbara, Christine, Maxine & Jennifer. Steven O. Lowther, age 64 of Wahoo, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at his home. He was born June 13, 1946 in Omaha to Max and Cheryl (Davis) Lowther. He grew up on a farm near Weston, NE and graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1964. He was united in marriage to Peggy Cejka of Weston April 26, 1969. Peggy passed away January 23, 1980. Two children, Joel Steven and Jennifer Marie, were born to this marriage. On June 11, 1982, Steven married Phyllis Clayton of Wahoo. He worked for JEO, Saunders County Surveyor, and retired from the Saunders County Department of Corrections where he worked as a Corrections Officer. Steve faithfully served the City of Wahoo as a volunteer firefighter for 20 years. Steven is survived by his wife Phyllis of Wahoo; mother Cheryl Kliment of David City, NE; brother Richard (Carol) Lowther Richmond, VA; children Corina (Dale) Wilson of Ord, NE, Barbara Markvicka of Wahoo, Tammy (Jim) Nelson of Wahoo, Christine Lawrence (fianc Galyn Rouse) of Wahoo, Maxine (Jack) Fisher of Malmo, Joel (Kim) Lowther of Wahoo, and Jennifer (John) Abramo of Wahoo; 23 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Peggy, step-father Max Kliment, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
