ROWLETT — Funeral services for Willie Mae Richardson, 83, of Rowlett and formerly of Forestburg, have been set for Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with Sonny Cole and Lloyd Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Rosston Cemetery, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Richardson passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 in Rowlett. Willie Mae was born May 3, 1927 to William and Ida Barclay Kuykendall in Forestburg. She was a member of the Forestburg Church of Christ. Her favorite quote from church was, "Angels do walk the earth and they wear pink and purple to church on Sunday." Willie Mae is survived by her son, Johnny and his wife Hae Sun Richardson of Forestburg; daughters, Teresea and her husband Jimmy Jenkins of Forestburg, Debra Flowers of Nocona, Delaina and her husband Ronnie Sims of Garland and Joan and her husband Charley McDaniel of Forestburg; sisters, Treva Cook of Grand Prairie and Melva and her husband Raymond DeFoor of Missouri; brother, Jimmie Britain of Forestburg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Willie Mae is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Kuykendall; husband, Johnny Roy Richardson; brother, Garland Kuykendall and sister, Lois Rich. The family will receive friends and loved ones at the funeral home this evening, Jan. 11, 2011 from 6 to 7 p.m.
