Published in the Athens Review March 20, 1941 Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Athens city cemetery for Miss Oma Mae Wallace, 37 year old lifelong resident of Henderson county. Miss Wallace died Saturday night at 10 o'clock following a long illness with a heart ailment at the family home on Scott street. Services were conducted by L.D. Rose, minister of the Primitive Baptist faith, with the Athens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Deceased, a nurse by profession, was born in this county on August 28th, 1903, and had spent her entire life as a resident of this area. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace. Surviving are five brothers, John Wallace, Will Wallace and Fred Wallace, all of Athens; tom Wallace and Dempsey Wallace, both of the Turkey Creek community.
