Bio
Death certificate lists her first name as Ada... as do the death certificates of her children. Death certificate also lists parents as William M. Rutherford (FAG 6478343) and Catherine Morrell (FAG 6478345). Email from Tammy Williams ( [email protected] ), Ada's great grand daughter, indicates her father was John H. Rutherford and mother was Martha (Mattie) Heath. ______ daughter of John R and Martha T. "Mattie" Heath Rutherford. Ada married William M. Darland, 17 Oct 1895, Collin, Texas, shortly after the family arrived from Rutherford County, TN. to. Texas. Their are many mistakes on Ada's death record, but apparently Wm. believe her father's name was Will Rutherford. There was not mother listed. Her obituary in news paper does give part correct information as he listed her living sibling. She is not the daughter of William M. Rutherford and Catherine Morrell, who came from Cocke County, Tennessee. At this time I find no proof that this couple had a daughter Ada, and no proof that they are kin to the Gideon Rutherford family of Rutherford, TN. Contributor: G. Mounger (46931367) •
