Death certificate State of Utah The Magna Times Friday, September 25, 1953 Page 1 Bacchus Man Succumbs To Hemorrhage Orvil L. Ames, 52, regarded Bacchus man, died Saturday at 6:10 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of a crebral hemorrhage. He was born October 7, 1900, in Idaho, to Ira L. and Isabel Austin Ames. He married Floretta H. Nelson October 1, 1924, in the Logan LDS Temple. He had been employed for 19 years by the Hercules Powder Company, and was widely acquainted in this vicinity. He was a member of the Hercules LDS ward. Survivors include his widow of Bacchus; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Barnard, Murray; Mrs. Glenness Cooper, Tooele; *, Kearns; Mrs. Imogene Bevan, Magna; four sons, Spencer O., *, * and *, Bacchus; a brother, Leslie Ames, Idaho Falls, Idaho and a sister, Mrs. Ada Ransom, Preston, Idaho and seven grandchildren. Mr. Ames' death came as a great shock to his devoted family and friends. He had worked the day before his death, and awakened early Saturday with a terrific headache. He was rushed to a Salt Lake Hospital where he succumbed. Final Rites Held Final rites to honor the respected man were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Pleasant Green Ward Chapel with Bishop H. L. Coe officiating. Throngs of friends attended and masses of beautiful blooms paid tribute further to the well-known man.
