Bio

Mrs. Virgie K. Gunter, 86, of 220 Holly Bickley Road, Chapin, died Friday. Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Tillman P. and Maggie D. Hall Kyzer. She was a retired nurses' aide and a member of South Beltline Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Bickley of Chapin and Mrs. Edith Jackson of North; sons, Furman Gunter of Gaston, Owens Gunter of West Columbia, Donnie Gunter of Surfside Beach and Larry Gunter of Charlotte; a sister, Mrs. Myrtist Rast of Charlotte; and a brother, Claude Kyzer of West Columbia. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is in charge. © The State , Columbia, SC, 6 Oct 1990
