Bio
SAN ANGELO - Earo Miller King was born on Feb. 22, 1914, to Sidney Miller and Lillie Byrdwell in Frankston, Texas. She departed this earth for her heavenly home on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Homegoing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at St. Paul Baptist Church. She married Leon Owens Sr. in 1928 and to this union four children were born. On Feb. 20, 1946, she married J.W. King, and to this union one child was born. She joined St. Paul Baptist Church under the Rev. Frank Phillips and served faithfully as an usher for 50 years until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She was a dedicated employee of Johnson's Funeral Home for 50-plus years. She was preceded in death by three sons, Leon Owens Jr., Billie King and Dennis King; two daughters, Mary Katherine Lowden and Callie Daniels; and one grandson, Edward Daniels. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Tony Owens and wife Mary Frances Owens of San Angelo, Texas, and Ronald King and wife Diane of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Annie Laura Nash of San Angelo, Texas; five granddaughters, Arnesia Wooten of Amarillo, Texas, Julia Reed, Blossom Owens and Terry Owens of San Angelo, Texas, and Edith Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandsons, Ralph King and wife Shannon of Amarillo, Texas, Leonard Nash of San Angelo, Texas, Billie Daniels and wife Sherry of Carrollton Texas, Milroy Daniels of Long Beach, Calif., Tony Owens of Dallas, Texas, Clifford Owens of San Angelo, Texas, and Stanley Sullivan and Kenneth Sullivan of San Antonio, Texas; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
