San Angelo, Tex., Auto Accident, May 1934 Posted May 11th, 2010 by lori hedges San Angelo, Tex., Auto Accident, May 1934 Three Killed In Car Crash Funerals Today In McCamey and In San Angelo San Angelo, May 24. – Two funerals will be held at McCamey and one here Friday afternoon for three victims of a head on automobile crash near Big Lake Wednesday night. Mrs. Charles NORRIS and her sister, Miss Kathleen HINDE, who were killed almost instantly, are being buried at McCamey. Roy HEMPHILL, former Santa Fe employe (sic) here, died while enroute to San Angelo early Thursday morning and he will be buried here. He is survived by his widow and three children. The sisters were enroute here to see a brother, C. R. HINDE, who had undergone an operation. John HINDE, McCamey, was seriously hurt and was brought to the hospital here. J. Wylie TAYLOR, Jr., son of the Reagan county judge, was less seriously injured and was given emergency treatment at Big Lake. Abilene Morning News, Abilene, TX 24 May 1934 Transcribed by Lori Hedges.
