Bio

ALBANY--Lural C. Crouch, 87, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Crouch, who was born in Albany, Kentucky, attended schools in Clinton County, Kentucky, before moving to Benton County, where he was a farmer. He was a mechanic in Fowler and Chicago and also worked for Ford Corp., Hammond. He moved to Delaware County about 50 years ago and was a farmer in Delaware Township. He was a member of DeSoto United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau of Delaware County. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Reba Beaty Couch; a son, Don; a daughter, Doris; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His parents, James and Frona Crouch, two sisters, and a brother are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Jerry Stout officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling will be 2-6 p.m. today an before services Friday at the mortuary.
