Martha Marlar, 75, of Emporia, Kansas died January 3, 2011 at the Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia, Kansas. Martha Marlar was born January 17, 1935 in Madison, Kansas the daughter of Walter Scott & Ruth Mae (Draper) Marlar. Martha was a professional housekeeper until her retirement in 2008. Martha is survived by two sisters, Gladys Wescott of Augusta, Kansas and Dorothy Blanck of Paola, Kansas. She was preceded in death by: her parents; three sisters, Bertha Jean Marlar, infant sister Frankie Adiline Marlar, and Helen Marlar; and two brothers, Jake Marlar and Raymond Marlar. Burial has taken place at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia, Kansas. No services are planned. Memorial contributions are to be designated later.
