Obituary for Sarah C Byrd Anadarko Tribune 12 Jan 1939 Mrs. Byrd's Rites Are Held Saturday Funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in the Gracemont Methodist church for Mrs. Sarah C. Byrd, 69 years old. Gracemont, who died last Wednesday in the Elk City community hospital of coronary thrombosis. She had been in the hospital about two weeks before her death. The body was laid to rest in the Anadarko cemtery under the direction of the Anadarko funeral home. Survivors are two sons, C.L. Byrd Jr., Kansas City and John Byrd, Gracemont; one daughter , Mary Brown, Fort Gibson, Okla.; one adopter son, W. D. Deck, Springfield, MO.; two sisters, Mrs. Chris Weiss, Holton, Kans., and Mrs. Charles Dale, Colfax, La.; two brothers. John Trebble, Idaho and Dudley Trebble, California' and 12 grandchildren. All of the surviving relatives attended the rites here except Mr. Deck and the deceased womans two brothers whose exact addresses are unknown.
