Rites Set Today For Mrs. Lindley SULPHUR SPRINGS - Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Ethel Lindley, 82, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Tapp Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Sulphur Springs City Cemetery. Mrs. Lindley died Monday morning in a Sulphur Springs hospital after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Sulphur Springs, she was a member of a prominent Sulphur Springs family. She was the daughter of Joe and Nancy Melton. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, T. C. McCorkle of Tulsa, Okla.; five sisters, Miss Inez Melton of Sulphur Springs, Mrs. J. M.Powell of Kansas, Mrs. Minter Smith of Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Una Stephenson of Wichita Falls, and Mrs. Frankie Evans of Pauls Valley, Okla.; one brother, Ira Melton of Sulphur Springs; and two grandchildren. arrangements.
