Son of Marcus Woodard and Millie Gertrude (Kirk) Woodard Obituary reads... REV. WOODARD 59, SUCCUMBS The Rev. G. W. Woodard, 59, of 405 Maple died at home about midnight Tuesday following a heart attack. He was a minister of the Full Gospel Ranks. Rev. Woodard had lived in Duncan since 1927 coming here from Rush Springs where his family settled in 1908. He was born November 9, 1893 in Wolfe, Texas. Survivors are the widow, Mattie; a daughter Mrs. L. M. Zigler, 422 Maple; two sons, Mark of Newberry, California and Luther of Aiken, South Carolina; three sisters, Mrs. Molly Qualls of Duncan, Mrs. Neoma Pate of Chickasha and Mrs. Myrtle Dunlap of Arcata, California. Other survivors are two brothers, Roy, 302 North First Lem 412 Willow and two half-brothers Walter Woodard of Texas and Zellie of Westifer, Oregon. Five grandchildren also survive. The service arrangements will be announced by the Rangeley-Holden Funeral Home. Second obituary reads... WOODARD RITES HERE SATURDAY Last rites for the Rev. G. W. Woodard, 59, of 405 Maple, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pentecostal Church of God. The Rev. J. W. May of Houston, Texas minister of the Full Gospel Evangelistic Association will officiate. The Rev. Woodard died at his home of a heart attack about midnight Tuesday. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery. Ministers will be bearers.
