Daughter of William Nixon and Martha A. Johnston. Married Hamilton Thomas "Hamp" Brooks on May 11, 1876 in Pulaski, Giles County, Tennessee. (submitted by Ann Prater Whisenhunt ) She was a housewife, 88 years old, widowed, and a resident of Waco, Texas when she died. Informant was Mrs. E. U. Duke, Waco, Texas; burial was June 11, 1946. F. M. Compton & Son, Waco, Texas, was in charge of arrangements. (Texas death certificate# 28298)
