Bio

Laura Alice (Talburt) Morris was the daughter of William James Talburt and Mary Lucinda McCormack. She married Henry B. Morris on March 4, 1890, in Logan County, Arkansas. At the time of their marriage she was 18 and he was 35, and they were both living in Sugar Grove, Arkansas. To this union were born Talmadge V., Lillie A., Edward E., and Alvin H. Morris. Alice had four step-children who were Henry's children from previous marriages: Charles W. and Oscar William P. Morris, both born in Missouri to Henry and his wife whose name is unknown; and Clarence Thomas and Ludia A. Morris, children of Henry and his second wife, Amanda A. Harris.
