Bio
Victor Eugene Stoddart, 79, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif. He was born Feb. 7, 1931 in Idaho Falls, to Roland Victor Stoddart and Vera Lucille Ball Stoddart. He attended schools in Idaho Falls and Great Falls, Mont. He served in the U.S. Air Force. On Dec. 9, 1953, Victor married Patsy Louise Cowgill in Long Beach, Calif. They lived in Long Beach for 26 years before moving to Big River, Calif. Victor was a truck driver for 35 years in Southern California. He was a member of the American Legion for 44 years and also a member of the Eagles Lodge. He and Patsy spent their winters in California and summers in Idaho. Victor enjoyed fishing and riding four-wheelers. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Stoddart, of Big River; children, Victor G. (Fay) Stoddart, of Big River, Christy L. (William) Duncan, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and Roy L. (Karen) Stoddart, of Monteview, Idaho; brothers, James (Barbara) Stoddart, of Brea, Calif., Charles (Patti) Stoddart, of Visalia, Calif., and Roger (Darla) Stoddart, of Palm Springs; sister, Marilyn (Dale) Dawes, of Lehi, Utah; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Terreton Cemetery in Terreton, Idaho.
