Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Mon, 2 Jan 1989, page A2, Deaths, Johnny Ray Price QUINLAN - Funeral services for Johnny Ray Price, 66, of Quinlan, will be at 10 a.m. today at Lybrand Funeral Chapel in Quinlan with Rev. William Montague officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Mr. Price died Saturday at Citizens General Hospital. He was born May 2, 1922. He married Marie Jean Price, in the Taunton county of Somerset, England. An employee of Metzger's Dairy, he was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and was a VFW post commander at Tawakoni in 1986-87. Surivors (sic) include his wife, of Quinlan; one son, Johnny Ray Price of Nashville, Ark.; three daughters, Caroline Tomlinson of Rowlett, Barbara Nell Garcia of Flushing, N.Y., and Betty Joe Price of Lewisville; four brothers, Emmett Price of Mesquite, Willie Price of Farmers Branch, Jesse Price of Dallas and Allan Price of Fort Worth; three sisters, Minnie Mae Martin of Los Angeles, Calif., Bonnie Tisdale of Houston and Billie J. Jennings of West Tawakoni; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Charles Plunkett, Earl Johnson, Jim Forsythe, Don Lovell, Harmon Cunningham, Benny Goodner and Emmett Smith. Lybrand Funeral Home in Quinlan is in charge of arrangements.
