The Deseret News March 21, 2007 Eric Douglas Wahlberg 1975 ~ 2007 Eric D. Wahlberg passed away March 18, 2007 after a 15 year battle with substance abuse. Born to Douglas Carl Wahlberg and Anita Grimm Ostler July 25, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married to his soul mate Lynne Hanson April 4, 2006. Served in the U.S. Navy. Was a long haul driver and an outstanding warehouseman. He enjoyed ping pong, water skiing and movies. Survived by his wife, parents Douglas (Bonny Basche) Wahlberg, Anita (Randy) Ostler; brothers Tyler (Rashelle) and Jody. Niece Alexis, nephew Dylan. Stepbrother Brett Ostler, step sisters Natalie Bott and Dina Ensign. Preceded in death by his grandparents Carl G. Wahlberg, Wm. Marvin and Ruby V. Grimm. Two best friends that also lost the battle. A graveside service will be held Thursday 1:30 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery 1342 East 500 South.
