MRS. ELISA GEISTLINGER HALLAM—Funeral services were held at the Congregational church here Monday for Mrs. Elisa Heistlinger[sic], 59, who died at her home five miles south of Denton, Friday evening. She is survived by her husband, Paul, and seven children. They are Mrs. Ella Messman, Mrs. Anna Messman, Mrs. Dora Albers, all of Hallam; Mrs. Carrie Shreve of Lincoln, and Mrs. Lillie Blockowitz[sic], Harry and Paul, jr., of Crete; also 17 grandchildren and two brothers, John and Dick Braaf, and a sister, Lena Potthoff of Hallam, and a sister, Carrie Boylan of Lincoln. — The Lincoln Star (Lincoln, NE) Mon Jan 18, 1937, p.12.
