Langston, Mrs. William Trojacek, Mrs. Ben Rejcek, all of Dallas; Mrs. Donald Smith, Wichita Falls; Mrs. Anna Laur, San Francisco; brother, Ernest Lewis Sulak, Houston. Recitation of Rosary, Wednesday. Requiem Mass Thursday, St. James Catholic Church. Interment Calvary Hil Cemetery. (Thanks to Sherree for sharing the following): John was living in Dallas, TX when he entered the service and was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On July 7, 1953, he was suffocated when his bunker collapsed during a rain storm near Chung Mel, North Korea. Private First Class Sulak was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
