She passed away following a heart attack Wednesday, May 2, 1962, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 22 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at an early age. She was united in marriage to Charles Krug [sic] November 7, 1901, in Geneva, Neb. Five children were born to this union, three sons and two daughters. One son died in early infancy. Most of her life was spent in Fillmore and Thayer counties, where farmig was the family occupation. She is survived by her children, Mrs. Otto Otten of Geneva, Harry of Ohiowa, Leland of Strang, and Mrs. Clarence Sallomon of Ohiowa; three grandchildren, Mrs. Robert Rachow of Hebron, Mrs. Henry Itzen of Lincoln and Marc Sallomon of Ohiowa; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Will Schufeldt of Omaha. Her husband preceded her in death in September, 1957. Mrs. Krug was a very industrious person, helping her family in any possible way. She was a careful mother and faithful to God and her mission. Funeral servies were held Saturday, May 5, at Grace Lutheran church near Ohiowa with Rev. J. A. Dombrovskis in charge. Interment was in Grace Lutheran cemetery in the family lot. At the services a quartet composed of Mre. Eldon Dirks, Mrs. Frank Bulin, Ronald Rippe and Verlyn Hintz sang two favorite hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages," with Mrs. Donald Dirks as organist. Pallbearers were neighbors and former neighbors: Melvin Blanke, Wayne Matejka, George Gewecke, Quincy Down, Maurice Hafer and Verle Myers. The many beautiful floral tributes were in charge of Mrs. Paul Hintz and Mrs. Herman Rippe.
