Bio

John R. Uland, Railroad Land Agent, Dies During the building of the Illinos Central railroad, two of the best known and most populr men connected with the work while in Greene county were John T. Woodward of Bloomington, Indana and John R. Uland a native of Center Township, Green County, Indiana. They were engaged in making the real estate and right of way deals fr the road bed and for the railroad buildings. After the death of Mr. Woodward, John R. Uland continued in the land department of the railroad system, and had made his home at Princeton, KY for some time. He was in New Orleans last week, nd on last Sunday a heart attack proved fatal to him. He was married three times. He is survved by his third wife and a son, Ivan. He was a brother-in-law to Orval E. Cain, Roy Cain and Bert Cain, his first wife being a daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Frak Cain of Center township. His parents resided at Vincennes for a number of years. The remains were shipped to Vincennes where te funeral and interment occurred Wednesday afternoon.
