Bio
Margaret Ann Doherty also known as "Gram", 70, went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, December 16, 2010 with her family by her side. Margaret was born in Reagor Springs, Texas on January 18, 1940 to Johnnie Melvin and Sylvia (Stalter) Anderson. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1958. On July 20, 1962 she married Bill Doherty and they have made their home in Ennis their entire married life together. She worked for Ennis Business Forms. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Young at Heart Sunday School Class and Alpha Eta Mu. She was the type of mother and grandmother that was always there for her family and she was the first one to come to their rescue if they needed her. She is survived by her husband, Bill Doherty: son, Rusty Doherty and his wife, Linda: daughter Laura and her husband, Billy Banks: seven grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah and Cameron Farris, Bailee and Tanner Doherty and Ashley and Taylor Banks; one great grandchild, Camdyn Danbom and brother Jerry Anderson and his wife, Linda. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Jane and Dorothy. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2 until 4 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Chapel with Rev. Richard Moody officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
