The Edgar Sun (Edgar NE) Thu - Mar 2, 1961 - Page 1 Death of Former Edgar Man in Lincoln Monday Edgar relatives received word of the death of Cecil Strawser of Lincoln at the veterans hospital Monday after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Roper Chapel with Rev George Edgar officiating. Further services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Edgar Methodist Church with the Lincoln minister officiating, and the Edgar post in charge, Military services were conducted at the Edgar Cemetery. A lifelong Nebraskan, he moved from Edgar to Lincoln 19 years ago. He was an apartment manager for Folsom's Brothers for 17 years. A member of First Methodist Church, he was a veteran of W. W. I and a member of the Edgar American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife, Lois, daughters, Mrs. Albert (Margaret) Pavelka of Lincoln, Mrs. Clement (Dorothy) Jones of Wymore; sons, Martin of Lincoln, foster son, Eugene Lamberson, Hastings; brothers, Rancie Strawser of Chico, Calif., Lloyd Strawser of Whittier, Calif., eight grandchildren and many other relatives. .
