Richard died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Annie Jeffrey Memorial Hospital in Osceola, Nebraska. Richard "Pat" Augustin was born March 17, 1924 in Shelby, Nebraska to Charles J. & Paulina (Wondra) Augustin. He graduated from Shelby High School in 1939. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Mildred "Millie" Larson on May 15, 1945 in Belleville, Kansas. The couple lived in Shelby where Richard farmed, owned A & A Trucking and operated his own cattle feeding business. In 1974 they retired and moved to Tubac, Arizona where he was involved in real estate. In 2007 they moved back to Columbus. Richard was a member of St. Anthony Church, Rotary Club, Elks Club, American Legion, Tubac Valley Country Club and the Santa Cruz Valley Seniors Golfing Club. He enjoyed reading, traveling and golfing. He is survived by: Son: Arthur (Mary Ann) Augustin of Shelby, NE Daughter: Pauline (Duane) Siffring of Bellwood, NE Daughter: Mary (Mike Phelps) Augustin of Stromsburg, NE Son: Richard "Pat" Augustin, Jr. of Shelby, NE Ten Grandchildren Twenty-four Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by: Wife: Mildred Augustin Father: Charles J.
