EDWARD T. TATE DIES IN HOSPITAL Rites Saturday For Cass County Native Edward Thomas Tate, 62, residing northeast of Reynolds, died late Wednesday at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, where he had been confined for three weeks by poisoning, Tate was born in Cass county January 31, 1874, the son of Thomas and Mollie Bailer Tate. Surviving are his widow; a son, Arthur, Reynolds; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Tharp, Monticello, Miss Verna Tate, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Thelma Baldwin, Reynolds; two brothers, John, northeast of Monticello, and Victor, Rochester; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Tull, Lafayette, and Mrs. Minnie Swartzel, Logansport. Short funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday followed by services at 1:30 p. m. at Reynolds Methodist church with Rev. Roush, Stockwell, former Reynolds pastor, officiating.
