Bio

Julius C. Kahanek, age 97, a 49 year resident of Austin, died Friday, June 7, 1996. He was born in Smithville, Texas. Mr. Kahanek was retired from the Calcasieu Lumber Company. He was a member of St. Austin's Catholic Church. Survivors inlcude his wife, Mary E. Kahanek of Austin; sister-in-law, Helen Kahanek; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Kahanek. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Rite of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon Monday in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with burial following at Assumption Cemetery. Arrangements by Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N.
