Couvillion James Anthony "Humphrey" Couvillion Ricky Couvillion Barbara Johnson Doris Meche Ruth Ortego Peggy Lawrence Siblings Louis Castille Lawrence Castille Rita Castille Durio Obituary Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006 at a 10:30 a.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Mable Margaret Couvillion, age 91, the former Mable Castille, who passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 5:00 a.m. at Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Joe Breaux, pastor of St. Alphonsus Church in Maurice, LA, will officiate at the services. Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Reon. Ms. Couvillion was a native of Arnaudville, LA and had lived in Lafayette for the past 40 years. Survivors include four sons, Paul Couvillion and his former wife, Barbara Romero Couvillion, of Rayne, LA, John W. Couvillion and his wife, Sherryl, James Anthony "Humphrey" Couvillion and his wife, Marie, all of Lafayette and Ricky Couvillion and his wife, Jana, of Carencro; four daughters, Barbara Johnson and her husband, John, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Doris Meche and her husband, Charles, Ruth Ortego and her husband, Jimmie, all of Carencro, Peggy Lawrence and her husband, Mike of Lafayette; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and one brother, Louis Castille and his wife, Jenny, of New Orleans, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Henry Couvillion; a grandchild, Kristy Granger; her parents, John Oleus Castille and the former Elmire Arceneaux, both natives of Arnaudville; one brother, Lawrence Castille and one sister, Rita Durio. Pallbearers will be Chris Ortego, Kevin Couvillion, Blake Couvillion, Steven Lawrence, Timmy Lawrence and Bryan Couvillion. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Ortego, Charles Meche, Mike Lawrence, Todd Couvillion and David Lawrence. Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro was in charge of arrangements.
