Daughter of William and Elizabeth (Martin) Sagert. Sister of Clarence Sagert and Clare Sly. Widow of George Frederick Fuhrman. Mother of Eugene Sweeny of Hungry Horse, Montana. Wednesday, July 24, 1991 from Cottonwood County Citizen paper. Longtime Windom resident Emma Fuhrman, 87, died at her home in Windom (July 16, 1991). The services were July 20, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior with Rev. Gary Rehborg and Vicar David Dahlke officiating. Organist was Deann Steele. Pallbearers were Leonard Richter, Gary Vanderwerf, Virgil Dahlke, Glenn Borchardt, Bruce Nelson and Louis Malchow. Interment was in Sunrise Cemetery, Wahoo, Neb. Emma Sagert, daughter of William and Elizabeth Martin Sagert, was born June 28, 1904 in Wahoo, Neb. She received her education in schools of Sanders County and later in Marinette, Wis. Emma married George Fuhrman in 1945. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Windom area. Emma and George operated farm and sold policies for education. George died in 1960. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Clara Sly, and one brother Clarence Sagert. She is survived by one son, Eugene Sweeney of Hungry Horse, Mont., eight grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
